The National Novena to Our Lady of Knock takes place from 13th to 21st August. This year’s theme “Sheltered in God’s Love” marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of Knock Basilica and reflects its continuing role as a place of faith, hope and community for all who visit. Daily ceremonies take place at 3pm and 8pm in the Basilica, with Anointing of the Sick at 2.30pm. Novena Workshops with guest speakers take place at 12.45pm each day in the Prayer Centre, and guided tours of the Shrine are available at 11am each day, starting at the Information Centre. The Novena programme is as follows:
13th Aug. 3pm & 8pm: Mary Kennedy, broadcaster & author, “Faith in Full View”.
14th Aug. 3pm & 8pm: Aidan Gallagher: “From Addiction to Healing”. Aidan is a member of the Cenacolo Community in Knock, which welcomes those healing from addiction, loneliness or personal struggles.
15th Aug at 3pm: Bishop Niall Coll “Our Lady: A Quiet Shelter of God’s Love”.
15th Aug at 8pm: Niamh McCann: “Beyond the Rainbow”.
16th Aug at 3pm: Bishop Kevin Doran: “Rebuilding the City of God– Pope Leo XIV and the New Technology”.
16th Aug at 8pm: Sandra Cullen: “Faith in the Era of AI”.
17th Aug, 3pm & 8pm: Sheila Murphy:” From Mass to Meadow- Living Our Faith Outdoors”.
18th Aug, 3pm & 8pm: Mario Nunis: “Faith in My Pocket”.
19th Aug, 3pm& 8pm: David Wells: “Enjoy Your Life-Make It Happen”.
